Outpost Magazine “Amazing Adventure Travel Treasure Hunt” Official Contest Rules

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. Purchase will not improve an entry’s chance of winning.

1. To be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec), who has reached the age of majority in their province on or before the date of contest entry. No employee of, member of the immediate family of, or person who is domiciled with an employee of Outpost Incorporated, or their subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies may enter.
2. No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. Purchase will not improve the entrant’s chances of winning.
3. All successful entrants will be eligible for the Grand and Secondary Prizes, with winners being drawn from the pool of entrants on June 11th, 2010.
4. One entry per person, per issue contest. If you enter more than once, all of your entries will be void.
5. Qualifying winners will be notified by email, mail, or telephone within 14 days of the draw.
6. Prizes are non-transferrable and must be accepted as awarded and have no cash equivalent.
7. By entering, entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest organization, which are final, and release Outpost Incorporated and its affiliates, employees and agents from any liability arising out of this contest or the awarding of prizes therein.
8. Outpost assumes no responsibility for delayed, damaged, or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period.
9. This contest is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial and municipal laws.
10. Taxes and service fees on prizes extra.

The Amazing Adventure Travel Treasure Hunt trip for two contest to “Thailand” is closed as of midnight February 1st, 2010. If you have arrived after the close, do not despair as we will continue to giveaway an Outpost prize pack each month to a lucky winner… so go ahead and test your knowledge of Thailand by completely the Treasure Hunt and you’ll be entered to win an Outpost Prize Pack. There is one way to enter this contest, by Internet at www.outpostmagazine.com. Visit the Outpost Magazine web site located at www.outpostmagazine.com and select the Amazing Adventure Travel Treasure Hunt button, answer the questions, and submit your name, address, age, telephone number and email address. Participation by Internet is limited to one (1) entry per person during the Issue Contest Period.   Outpost Magazine is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost, delayed or corrupted data transmission, line failures of any network or telephone, or inability to access the website. Outpost Magazine is not responsible for any printing errors or omissions and reserves the right to cancel or amend this Contest in the event of such an error or omission.

PRIZES. A total of one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded, as follows: Grand Prize (1): Trip for Two to Thailand.  Approximate retail value $ 6500.

Secondary Prizes will be awarded, as follows:

(2 ) Merrell Prize Packs, Approximate retail value $500 each.

(2) Outpost Prize Packs: Approximate retail value: $75 each.

Upon receipt of a Prize, each winner and Grand Prize traveling companion (who must be of legal drinking age) must sign a Declaration of Compliance with Contest Rules and a Liability and Publicity Release, releasing Outpost Magazine, its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates and each of their respective officers, directors, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns  involved in the supply of the Prize or any phase of contest administration, their respective directors, officers, employees and their agents or representatives and any person with whom they are domiciled, from any liability, damages, losses or injury in connection with this Contest and/or the Grand Prize in order to be declared a winner.

The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Selected entrants must correctly answer all questions in order to win. The Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no cash substitutions. If the Prizes are unavailable for reasons beyond its control, Outpost Magazine reserves the right to substitute Prizes of equal or greater value. The Prizes are guaranteed to be awarded. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Contest rules and the decisions of the contest administrator, which are final on all matters regarding the Contest. The qualifying winners will be notified by mail, telephone, or by email within fourteen (14) days of the final draw date and the winners will be required to sign a declaration and release form before accepting the Prize. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days of notification, if there is a return of any prize notification as undeliverable, or if the entrant fails to comply with any of the foregoing, that entrant will be disqualified and an alternate entrant will be selected among the remaining eligible entries. No further correspondence will be issued once each winner has received her or his Prize. All taxes and expenses not expressly mentioned in these official rules are the responsibility of the respective winners.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: All entries shall become the property of Outpost Magazine, which assumes no responsibility for delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Outpost Magazine on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Outpost Magazine reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the e-mail portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Outpost Magazine corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Outpost Magazine reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
