Where in the world have you been?

Since its debut in March 1996, Outpost has defied the conventions that typify other travel magazines - steering away from the cozy and coddled to take a more adventurous and realistic look at the world and how people travel through it. In every issue of Outpost you get the good, the bad and the ugly about travel, told in an honest, sometimes irreverent voice.

Outpost Online is intended as both an introduction to the magazine and extension of it, providing archived resource information on destinations and travel health, and offering samples of some of our wildest stories. But we’re also creating a community of travellers around Outpost and for that we want you to get involved. Check out our writer’s guidelines for how to contribute to the magazine. Outpost Online is a virtual meeting place for you and everybody else out there hungry for a travel magazine that is as adventurous as you are.
