Imagine viewing the surrounding plains of Tanzania from the summit of Africa’s highest peak, Kilimanjaro. East Africa’s astounding game parks and highest mountain are combined in this unique itinerary along with the opportunity for interaction with local tribesman, the Masai. This comprehensive trip provides an incredible opportunity to experience the highlights of Tanzania on foot, trekking both to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro and through Masai country in search of wildlife in Tanzania. A walk up Kilimanjaro’s scenically beautiful and less trekked Rongai route gradually brings us to the alluring summit of Uhuru Peak, (5896m) and amazing 360° views of the surrounding plains. Combining the walks, with the game viewing in the vehicles, is definitely a complete East African experience.
